What's new in PushBundle

New features, improvements, and fixes — shipped regularly.

  1. Improved

    Faster app and dashboard loading

The dashboard and every other page of the app were asking Shopify and the database for the same shop details several times on each load. That work now happens once. A dashboard load makes roughly half the Shopify calls it used to, and other pages make none where they previously made one.

    Why it Matters:

The screens you open most load faster, and PushBundle uses less of your store's Shopify API allowance — which matters when several apps are drawing on it at once.

  2. Improved

Orders no longer show internal bundle data

When a shopper added a bundle, their selection was briefly held as a hidden property on the cart line. A shopper who checked out within those few seconds carried that raw data onto the order, where it showed in Shopify admin and was picked up by CRM and order exports. The selection now travels with the cart from the moment the bundle is added and is cleared from the order once it exists, so it can't reach your order records however fast the checkout is. Adding a bundle is quicker too, since it no longer waits on background calls.

    Why it Matters:

You and your staff were seeing unreadable internal data on real orders, and it was flowing through to whatever systems you export to.

  3. Improved

Ask Shopify Sidekick about your bundles

PushBundle now answers questions inside Sidekick, Shopify's AI assistant in your admin. Ask it to find bundles by name, type or status and it lists the matching ones with a link straight to each bundle. Ask how one is set up and it reports the same discount, products or box steps, customer eligibility, status and schedule you'd see on the edit page — with times in your store's own time zone. Ask which bundles need attention and it flags expired ones, bundles ending within the week, drafts left untouched for a month, and volume bundles whose Shopify discount has gone missing.

    Why it Matters:

You can check a bundle, or find the one that has quietly stopped working, without leaving the conversation and going hunting through the app.

  4. Improved

Mix & Match bundles can now hold more than 20 products

The 20-product limit on Mix & Match multi-product bundles is gone — a bundle can now include up to 128 products. Working on this also uncovered and fixed a problem where larger existing bundles could fail to expand at checkout with no error shown.

    Why it Matters:

The checkout problem it exposed was already affecting 20-product bundles that had a lot of variants. Very large carts — roughly 25 items each across two big bundles — remain limited by what Shopify's checkout can process, and the storefront now says so before the order is placed rather than letting it be mispriced.

  5. Improved

A rebuilt Build Your Own Box builder

The Build Your Own Box builder has been rebuilt around a live storefront preview. Add, delete and drag steps into order, switch any step between choose-product, add box, gift card, custom block and form, and turn a step off without losing its settings. Appearance, offer and publish settings all update the preview as you edit. The builder now works on a tablet or phone too, with the preview as a slide-in panel.

    Why it Matters:

You can see what shoppers will see while you build, instead of saving and checking the storefront after every change.

  6. Improved

Guided onboarding from install to a live bundle

New stores now open into a five-step wizard instead of the dashboard: welcome, choose a bundle type, build it, activate, done. Picking a type shows a live preview of how that bundle looks on a storefront, and the bundle you build in the wizard is a real, publishable bundle rather than a demo. The flow won't finish until your theme app embed is switched on and verified, and your progress is saved — close the tab and you pick up where you left off.

    Why it Matters:

You reach a live bundle on your storefront in one pass, instead of working out for yourself which of the five bundle types fits, where the builder is, and what still needs switching on before shoppers can see anything.

  7. Improved

    Lighter storefront styles

The stylesheet PushBundle loads on your storefront is now compressed when it's built, cutting it by roughly a quarter. Nothing about how bundles look has changed.

    Why it Matters:

A smaller file means bundle widgets appear sooner on your product pages, which shows most on mobile connections.

  8. Improved

Build Your Own Box orders now arrive with every item listed

A box could reach checkout as a single placeholder line instead of its individual products — the order showed one item at the placeholder price, with the customer's choices recorded only as text, and no stock deducted for them. Separately, a cart holding several bundles could stop expanding anything at all. Both are fixed, and larger mixed carts are now handled.

    Why it Matters:

Affected orders couldn't be fulfilled properly — the products the customer actually chose weren't on the order, and inventory for them was never reduced. Orders placed before this fix still need correcting by hand.

  9. Improved

Onboarding wizard and theme editor improvements

A set of fixes to the guided setup flow and to how bundles appear in the theme editor. The Activate step now notices when you've switched on the app embed or added a block, without needing a reload; the Enable App Block button opens the editor with the right block already added; and each block in the editor shows its own offer, or a preview built from your own products where no bundle exists yet. Cross-sell offers now sit with the add-to-cart button rather than inside the Shop Pay installments panel, and the step counter reads correctly. A crash that was interrupting sessions with error pages has also been fixed.

    Why it Matters:

The cross-sell placement is the one that was costing sales: the offer sat inside a panel that disappears for shoppers who aren't eligible for Shop Pay installments, so it was invisible to exactly those shoppers while looking perfect to anyone testing it.

  10. Improved

Correct bundle prices in every currency

On stores selling in more than one currency, a bundle's price could change between the product page and the cart. Cross-sell combo packs were affected worst — depending on the exchange rate the discount could be almost nothing, wildly inflated, or drop the price to zero. Mix & Match crossed-out prices were converted twice, add-to-cart totals sat a few cents above the cart, and the discount name at checkout had a random number appended to it. All of these are fixed, and the price shown is now the price charged.

    Why it Matters:

Shoppers were being charged something other than the price they had agreed to, and at some exchange rates a bundle could be checked out for nothing. Stores selling in a single currency were never affected.

  11. Improved

Volume Bundles now create on every store

On some stores, publishing a Volume Bundle failed with "Could not create discount", and the Cross-Sell discount that normally sets itself up at install was never created either. Both now work regardless of which version of the app the store is running.

    Why it Matters:

Affected merchants couldn't create a Volume Bundle at all, and the error gave no indication of what to do about it.

  12. Improved

Template 4 — a bulk order table for Mix & Match

Mix & Match Single and Multi Product bundles have a new layout option. Template 4 lays every variant out as a table row with a quantity stepper, stock level, unit price and line subtotal, and shows your volume tiers live: the active tier highlights, prices update as quantities change, and a progress bar shows how many more units unlock the next tier. Out-of-stock rows are disabled, and the footer totals the units, the original price, the discounted price and the amount saved.

    Why it Matters:

If you sell apparel, uniforms or anything in multi-size runs, customers can order across many variants in one pass and see exactly how buying more lowers the per-unit price.

  13. Improved

Brazilian Portuguese added to the admin

PushBundle's admin is now fully translated into Brazilian Portuguese. If your Shopify admin language is set to Português (Brasil), the app follows it automatically.

    Why it Matters:

Merchants on that setting read the whole app in English before. Brazilian Portuguese differs enough from European Portuguese in everyday commerce wording that the existing translation wasn't a substitute.

  14. Improved

Bundles with image-less products now save and display correctly

Creating or saving a Mix & Match bundle failed outright when one of the chosen products had no image. On the storefront, products without an image also collapsed their image box, pushing the name and price out of line. Bundles now save whatever state the products' images are in, and items without an image show a placeholder so every card stays aligned.

    Why it Matters:

Most catalogues contain a few products without photos. One of them was enough to block an entire bundle from being created.

  15. Improved

Clear message when a Volume Bundle title is already taken

If your store already had an automatic discount using the name you wanted — an inactive bundle, an expired discount, or one created by another app — saving a Volume Bundle failed with "The discount for this bundle couldn't be created", and retrying never worked. You're now told the title is already in use and asked to choose another.

    Why it Matters:

The old message pointed at nothing, so the only way forward was guesswork. The title was always the cause.
