When setting up discounts in Push Bundle, it's important to understand the difference between Flat Discount and Discount on Each Variant, as they affect pricing and display differently.
Flat Discount
- Applies a single total discount to the entire bundle.
- The discount is calculated once based on the total price of all items in the bundle.
- Bundles where you want to offer a fixed savings (e.g., $10 off on buying any 3 items together).
Example:
Bundle Total = $50
Flat Discount = $10
-> Customer pays $40 for the bundle.
Discount on Each Variant
- Applies a discount individually to each item/variant in the bundle.
- The discount is calculated per product based on its price.
- Volume bundles or Mix & Match offers, where each variant gets a proportional discount.
Example:
3 items each priced at $20
Discount per item = 10%
-> Customer pays $18 × 3 = $54 instead of $60.
