How to Add a Discount to a Mix & Match Bundle in PushBundle

PushBundle lets you add a discount to each Quantity Pack in a Mix & Match bundle. You can offer a percentage discount, a fixed discount, set a total price for the bundle, or create the pack without a discount. The discount applies when customers complete the quantity required for that pack.

Before You Start: Create or open a Mix & Match Single Product or Mix & Match Multiple Product bundle and add at least one Quantity Pack. The discount settings are configured inside each Quantity Pack.

How to Add a Discount to a Mix & Match Bundle

Follow these steps to configure the discount for a Quantity Pack.

Step#1 Set the Pack Label and Quantity

• Pack Label — enter the name customers will see for this pack, such as “Box of 6.”

• Quantity — enter the total number of items customers must select to complete this pack. For example, enter 6 for a “Box of 6.”

Step#2 Choose the Discount Type

Select how you want the Quantity Pack to be priced:

• Percentage Discount — reduces the bundle price by a percentage.

• Fixed Discount — subtracts a fixed amount from the bundle price.

• Set a Price for the Bundle — sets a specific total price for the completed bundle.

• No Discount — keeps the regular product pricing without applying a bundle discount.

Step#3 Enter the Discount Value

• If you select Percentage Discount or Fixed Discount, enter the discount amount in the Discount Value field.

• If you choose Set a Price for the Bundle, enter the total price you want customers to pay for the completed pack.

Example: If you create a Box of 6 and select Percentage Discount with a value of 10, customers receive 10% off when they complete the 6-item pack.

Step#4 Add Another Quantity Pack

Click Add Another Pack if you want to create another bundle size with its own quantity and discount settings. For example, you can offer a Box of 6 with one discount and a Box of 12 with a different discount.

Step#5 Save the Bundle

Review the Quantity Pack and discount settings, then click Save to apply your changes.

Step#6 Test the Discount on Your Storefront

Open a product page where the Mix & Match bundle is active and complete the required Quantity Pack. Confirm that the correct discount appears and that the expected bundle price carries through to the cart and checkout.

Common Issues

The Mix & Match discount is not being applied

Check that the customer has completed the full quantity required for the selected Quantity Pack. Also confirm that the bundle is active and applies to the product being tested.

The wrong discount amount is showing

Open the Quantity Pack and check the selected Discount Type and Discount Value. Make sure the value matches the type you selected.

The bundle price is different from what I expected

If you selected Set a Price for the Bundle, confirm that the total bundle price is correct. If you selected a percentage or fixed discount, check the original product prices and the discount value.

“Bundle discounts aren’t being applied” warning appears

Shopify allows a maximum of 25 active automatic discounts, including app-based discounts. If your store has reached this limit, PushBundle might not be able to create the required discount. Go to Shopify Admin → Discounts, deactivate or remove unused automatic discounts, then return to PushBundle and click Retry.
